How to Contact Your Legislators

 

• Each legislator has an office in Tallahassee as well as an office in their home district.  You can use either location to contact them.

• The most effective way to get your voice heard is to go directly to their office for a face to face meeting.  You can call ahead and make an appointment or stop by their office and talk to their staff.

• The next most effective way to get your voice heard is to make a phone call.  You will often speak to the legislator’s aide so be sure to leave your name, indicate you are from their district and leave them a brief message about why you are calling.

• You can also send emails and letters by mail.  If you email or send a letter, try following up with a phone call if you have time.
